When you walk into a bar and think, “Yeah… this is my new place.”

Everyone loves Nickel City.

Just let the awards do the talking. Nickel City not only landed itself on Esquire Magazine’s “Best Bars in America” list, but it also won TimeOut Austin’s award for “Best New Bar” and “Bar of the Year” from both CultureMap and Eater Austin 2017… all within one year of opening. Impressive, no?

A bit more about this one-of-a-kind venue:

  • This instant neighborhood favorite was inspired by the ‘rust-belt chic’ Midwest cities of Detroit and Buffalo. The name “Nickel City” comes from a nickel minted from 1913-1938 called the “Indian Head.” This popular coin depicted a Native American on one side and a buffalo on the other, leading many to associate it with Buffalo NY. Sit back and let Nickel City’s smooth drinks, yellow booths and neon lights transport you straight to the midwest.
  • Step out back to enjoy hot dog haven, Delray Café. These aren’t just hot dogs. Coney dogs are Detroit’s take on the American classic. Topped with a special chili, drizzled with yellow mustard and finished with raw onion. You can also order sliders, chicken wings or tater tots. Go ahead and indulge — fried food is good for the soul. • Nickel city has room for 10-90 guests! Enjoy birthday bashes, graduations, bachelorette parties, industry mixers and more!
